EDUCATIONAL RESTRUCTURING
|
Context
: One of the main
problem in Armenia is to give the
Armenian people the possibility
to work. The government has created
one hundred universities since the
independance of the country, but
68% of the students are unemployed
today. We are about to create a
professional training school, in
Koghb, in collaboration with the
local authorities, the mayor of
the village, a very active person,
who garanties to take on the functioning
expenses of this future school.
In 2009, we have already rehabilitated
one of the village schools, in order
to allow all the children to get
decent education. All the programme
2010 is therefore located in the
North of Armenia, 20 km from the
Georgian frontiere, a region forgotten
by the Armenian government.
Concerning sponsoring, many young
people are now entering universities,
thanks to the support given over
the last years by Mission Enfance's
sponsors.
Our team of 6 people works in Erevan,
the capital, in our French speaking
game library, as in the rest of
Armenia by handing out each year,
over 2.000 school kits to the most
isolated schools, by equiping orphanages
or hospital with game libraries
and by rehabilitating the school
buildings of the country
Coordination
: Our projects are
coordinated with the Department
of Education and the of Social Affairs.
Among others, the choice of the
schools to rehabilitate is decided
with local authorities in order
to make sure that this investment
will have in return a reinforcement
of the teachers and state means
to perpetuate our effort. Each of
our project is carried out directly
by our local team. Distribution
of school kits is done personnaly,
the equipment of game libraries
and rehabilitations of school buildings
in Karabagh and in Armenia are carried
out under the management of our
logistician in coordination with
the villagers.
Control
: A monthly report
(financial and activity) is sent
to the head office. A control mission
takes place once a year. Finally,
the local team is formed of people
with 17 years experience (a coordinator,
a logistician, a youth leader and
two teachers).

In Armenia, country subject
to cold, darkness and an
embargo from its neighbours,
the needs are immense.
After having started in
this country with an emergency
mission in 1993, Mission
Enfance's action was orientated
towards the rehabilitation
of school buildings, the
distribution of school kits
